As the Underwriting & Claim Insights Lead for both admitted and non-admitted business at Nationwide, I am responsible for driving strategic initiatives, examining underwriting appetite, and providing business insights to executive leadership. Together with a team of analysts, I foster a collaborative environment to deliver impactful results.
With 10+ years of insurance & analytics experience, I have a developed understanding of various database management and automation tools including Cron/Unix & UltraEdit as well as the ability to code in SAS, SQL, and Python programming languages. Cross lines insurance knowledge with experience in analytics support functions i.e. Operations as well as several direct lines of business such as Auto, Workers Compensation, General Liability, Umbrella, Financial Lines & Cyber for both Claim(PI & BI Loss Minimization) and Business Insurance Product(Revenue Growth) which has resulted in a proven history of driving results and identifying actionable metrics useful in steering behaviors across business environments.
By holding a Master's Degree in Economics, Health Policy and Management, I possess a strong academic foundation that complements my practical experience. As a lifelong learner I’ve earned my Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS), Associate in Commercial Underwriting (AU), Associate in Surplus Lines Insurance (ASLI), as well as my CompTIA Security+ certifications.
